07 Which Plan Should You Pick

Answer three questions and your tier picks itself

Just building and shipping releases?

Go with Mini S (M4 16GB). A cold xcodebuild of a mid-sized Swift project takes about 4–6 minutes for a single project, and a full fastlane build-and-upload cycle finishes within 15 minutes. 16GB is plenty for a single pipeline.

Running parallel runners?

Start at 24GB (Mini M / Mini Pro). With 2–3 concurrent jobs, each Xcode compile process can peak at 6–16GB; past 3 concurrent jobs, or if you need a simulator matrix, go straight for the 12-core M4 Pro.

Running models locally?

Go with Mini Pro (M4 Pro 64GB). MLX loading a 70B 4-bit quantized model uses roughly 40GB of unified memory; models under 32B run fine on Mini M, but leave very little headroom for the system.

Not sure? Rent a Mini M for a day and test it yourself — run your own CI scripts, watch memory pressure in Activity Monitor, then decide whether to size up or down. Switching tiers never wastes time you've already paid for.

08 Upgrades, Downgrades & Refunds

The rules, spelled out plainly — no fine-print games

R1Upgrades are prorated by price difference: Your remaining time converts to a balance — pay the difference to the new tier and you're migrated the same day. Example: with 15 days left on a Mini M monthly plan, upgrading to Mini Pro only costs (302.7−198.4) × 15/30 ≈ $52.2. Your environment moves over via snapshot — no reconfiguration needed.
R2Downgrades take effect at the end of the cycle: Downgrades switch over at the end of your current billing cycle, so a mid-cycle change never interrupts a running build. The price difference isn't refunded as cash — it's automatically converted into extra time on the new tier.
R3First order refundable within 24 hours: Full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of your first order — if the machine isn't right for you, just cancel, no questions asked. Renewal cycles aren't refundable, so test on a daily rate before committing to a longer term.
R4Data retained for 72 hours after expiry: If you don't renew, the machine powers off but your data stays for 72 hours — renew within that window and everything comes back exactly as it was. After 72 hours, we destroy the APFS encryption keys and wipe the disk entirely; nothing is recoverable by anyone. See the Trust page for the full process.
